Dr Javier Martinez-Useros Dr. Javier Martínez-Useros completed his PhD at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA, University of Navarra), where he developed the first animal model of mantle cell lymphoma (PNAS, 2011). He subsequently spent time in the lymphoma laboratory of Dr. Ari Melnick at Weill Cornell Medical College (New York, USA). He later joined the oncology laboratory of Dr. Jesús García-Foncillas at the Health Research Institute of the Jiménez Díaz Foundation Hospital, where he began his research career in colorectal cancer. Since 2016, he has worked as a senior researcher, focusing on the study of biomarkers and novel therapies for pancreatic cancer. To date, he has published more than 60 scientific articles and is principal investigator on three competitive projects, including a European project. He also teaches at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid.
